Coarse Fishing

All major rivers are covered in the printed guide, including Hampshire Avon, Bristol Avon, Axe, Wylye, Nadder, Kennet & Avon Canal, Stour, Frome, Piddle, Boyd, Marden, Tone, Bridgwater & Taunton Canal, West sedgemoor Drain, Parrett, Isle, Kings Sedgemoor Drain, Axe, Kenn, Yeo, and Brue plus dozens of productive stillwaters and Reservoirs.

Pretty well all species of fish are included, plus some unusual ones: Tench (green & golden), Carp (crucian, mirror, leather, common, grass, koi) Orfe (golden & blue), Bream, Roach, Rudd (including golden), Dace, Bleak, Gudgeon, Barbel, Chub, Perch, Pike, Sturgeon and Wels Catfish.

SOMETHING FOR ALL

Whatever your taste in coarse fishing there is something for you in the south west - just use the FISH FINDER on this website to search our directory for fishing in any part of the South West. The visitor will find a wide range of day permits from hotels, associations and fishery owners, at an equally wide range of prices. The local angler should always consider joining an association, which is often the cheapest way of fishing. Some of these clubs have open membership while others will have a membership limit and a waiting list, so check with the secretaries for details.

But always remember that before you go fishing you need two pieces of paper - the Environment Agency national licence and a permit from the owner of the fishery.
