Coarse Fishing Lakes at Higher Kingcombe, Dorchester, Dorset - There are seven coarse fishing lakes at Higher Kingcombe as well as B&B within our Lodge accommodation. The fishing lakes were constructed over twenty years ago using the natural spring water supply which runs through the coarse lakes at the top and feeds each one ending up in the River Hooke at the bottom. Although not large, they are well stocked with Carp (mirror,common.ghost) Roach, Bream, Perch some Tench and Chub. Our largest Carp recorded to date was 31lb!!
Coarse Fishing Prices at Higher Kingcombe - Day Ticket to Fish: £7.00 O.A.P and children £4.00. One lake is solely used for Dorchester Angling Club members. We have car-parking and a toilet on site. Please remember you will need a Environment Agency Rod license to fish here which can be purchased from the post office. We do not sell bait or fishing equipment.
Coarse Fishing Breaks in our B&B Fishing Lodge - Higher Kingcombe Fishing Breaks are located in the beautiful unspoilt West Dorset countryside next to the Dorset Wildlife Trust. The Lodge overlooks seven coarse fishing lakes, with many birds, insects and wildlife to observe. Walks all around can be started from the Lodge and cycle rides too! B&B costs £35.00 per person per night, children half-price. Evening meals and packed lunches can be arranged with prior notice. The Lodge suits walking and cycling groups as well as camera clubs as it also has its own kitchen, laundry and lounge area for guests to use.
