Fishing Details

Water: 
17 coarse ponds in the Newton Abbot area. Also member of S.L.A.C. (Somerset Levels Association of Clubs) with stretches of the Parrett, Brue and Isle.
Species: 
Carp to 36lb, Tench to 10lb, Bream to 8lb, Roach to 2lb, Perch to 5lb, Rudd to 1.5lb.
Permits: 
From Tackle Trader, Newton Abbot. Oakford Filling Station, Kingsteignton. Torbay Angling, Paignton and Exeter Angling, Exeter, Newton Tackle and Gun, Newton Abbot.
Charges: 
Day Tickets: £6 senior, £2 junior, 24 hour ticket £10. Associate licence £50 senior (1 year fishing majority of waters). Full member £75 adult. £15 junior, £30 OAP/Conc. (must live within 20 miles of Newton Abbot). Association key for gates £2.
Season: 
Ponds and lakes are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rivers are controlled by the national close season for coarse fish; Rocombe Ponds and Wapperwell Ponds open from dawn to dusk.
Methods: 
Barbless or crushed barbs. 2 rods 1st April to 30th September. 3 rods 1st October to 31st March. No lead shot. No nut baits. No fires. No dogs. No keepnets at Rocombe.
