 We need your help to get more people fishing!

The Angling Trust is working with the Angling Trades Association and the Environment Agency to promote National Fishing Month and Take a Friend Fishing (TAFF). As part of TAFF, the Environment Agency is offering free rod licences for beginners which can be cut out from the Angling Times and downloaded from the internet. These will be valid from the 21st to the 29th July.

We are asking for your help to see if your club or fishery could offer free day tickets for the same period so that beginners could fish for free for the day with an experienced or member angler. Obviously this will help generate publicity and members for your club or fishery as anyone who has been introduced to fishing on your waters is much more likely to want to fish there in the future when, as we hope, they take up angling.

The promotion will feature heavily in the Angling Times starting in the issue on sale 17th July. Every fishery offering free day tickets will be featured within the editorial, so please take this opportunity to take part.
