Fishing

The River Exe is renowned for Salmon/Trout fishing and the Anchor is lucky enough to have the fishing rights to the stretch of river alongside the gardens.When staying with us fishing is free but Non-resident patrons can purchase a day-pass for £10 to £20. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced angler that would like to learn new skills tuition can be arranged with our local guide who can provide tackle and equipment. Charges for tuition can be at an hourly rate or daily rate.

A current Environment Agency rod fishing licence is required when fishing and we do ask that you follow all rules at all times.
