Where to Stay

Braddon Cottages are six substantial holiday homes for country lovers, each with its own highly original character, surrounded by mature gardens and lawns, providing a high standard of accommodation and comfort. All have fine views to the south over Braddon lake and to Dartmoor.

Our spring fed lake is well stocked with fish, including some big ones, with resident water birds, a peninsula, a jetty with rowing boat, garden seats, picnic table. There is a solidly built all-weather summer house with barbecue fireplace - ideal for bird watching near the lake.
There are pleasant walks over the 150 acre estate, around the lake, along the remote valley of Dury Water, and in 500 acres of woodland on adjoining land. There is an all-weather tennis court, also with basketball, children's games and adults' snooker room (with full-sized table).

All cottages are scrupulously clean, They have full gas central heating, wood burning stoves, insulation, double glazing, Parquet floors and/or fitted carpets, Colour TV, videos, washing machines, dishwashers, Microwaves, fridges, cookers, toasters, Payphone, barbecues, Cots, highchairs, and garden furniture. Duvets, bedding and towels all included. Open all year. Fishing included and reserved for residents.
