| Butterwell is a splendid detached house with limited accommodation set in 40 acres of fields and woodlands adjoining the river Camel near the village of Nanstallon in Cornwall. The south wing of the house has recently been converted into a self catering annexe and is now being let through Farm and Cottage Holidays.
Located next to Butterwell is our holiday cottage ‘Buzzard Barn’ which is a delightful barn conversion, with a large upstairs living/dining room and wood burning stove. The adjacent kitchen is well equipped and also enjoys lovely views across the river valley. On the ground floor there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Buzzard Barn is also let through Farm and Country Cottages.
The Butterwell Fishery comprises of approximately half a mile of double bank water plus half a mile of single bank water and is divided into two equal beats for two rods each, which alternate daily. We also have a third beat (approx. ½ mile and part double bank) available for single rod booking. This beat alternates daily along with the Butterwell house beat whenever practical. There are over 8 natural holding pools along the Butterwell stretch in addition to which we have added 12 exciting new pools over the last 20 years and are now proving to be very popular holding pools for both sea trout and salmon. Butterwell is the premier fishery in the south west for sea trout and salmon.
