Butterwell Fishery

Butterwell is a splendid detached house with guesthouse accommodation set in 40 acres of fields and woodlands adjoining the river Camel near the village of Nanstallon in Cornwall. Located next to Butterwell is our holiday cottage 'Buzzard Barn' which is a delightful barn conversion, with a large upstairs living/dining room and wood burning stove. The adjacent kitchen is well equipped and also enjoys lovely views across the river valley. On the ground floor there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The Butterwell Fishery comprises of approximately half a mile of double bank water plus half a mile of single bank water and is divided into two equal beats for two rods each, which alternate daily. We also have a third beat (approx. ½ mile and part double bank) available for single rod booking. This beat alternates daily along with the Butterwell house beat whenever practical. There are 20 named pools which are popular holding places for both salmon and sea trout. Butterwell is the premier fishery in the south west for sea trout and salmon.
