Redlands House is located between Barnstaple and Bideford in North Devon in the lovely seaside village of Instow. The Edwardian property is decorated to a very high standard and can sleep up to 22 people in its 11 bedrooms which are situated over 3 floors.
The house overlooks the Taw/Torridge estuary and captures the views of Appledore and surrounding countryside.
Instow in a perfect base to explore North Devon which hosts many tourist attractions i.e. Tapley Gardens, The Big Sheep, Milky Way, Rosemoor Garden Centre and many more. Restaurants and bars are within short walking distance into the village, local shops offer a lovely range of pates, cold meats and cheeses. They carry a good selection of wines and beers and fresh bread is baked every day.
The house can also provide you with an amazing venue and can be used for a variety of business uses. We understand corporate entertaining and will be happy to help with whatever your requirements.
A local ferry runs to Appledore daily in the summer months but depends on tide times and weather. If you fancy a bike ride, hire a bike and cycle the famous Tarka Trail which runs through Instow and will take you either to Bideford or in the opposite direction to Fremington onto Barnstaple.

For the angler North Devon hosts a wealth of fishing. Sea charters can be booked in Appledore or Clovelly for hourly/daily fishing trips or if you fancy a real experience book a day’s trip and explore the beautiful small island of Lundy. Tickets can be booked in Bideford Lundy office or in the Tourist Information Centre. Local Coarse fishing lakes are within driving distance and can be found by the fish link below. River fishing can also be found by the fish link and again with driving distance.
