Love Your Lakes Photography Competition 2025

Capture, Share, and Celebrate the Beauty of Our Lakes and what the lakes mean to you!

Our 2025 'Love Your Lakes' photography competition is now open for entries, inviting participants to capture and share what the lakes mean to them. This annual event is a celebration of the natural beauty, wildlife, and adventures that our lakes offer.

Competition Categories and Prizes

This year, we have five exciting categories for you to choose from:

• Wonderful Wildlife: Capture the diverse and fascinating wildlife that inhabits our lakes and their surroundings.
• Stunning Scenery: Showcase the breathtaking landscapes and scenic views that make our lakes so special.
• Awesome Adventures: Share your thrilling and adventurous moments spent exploring the lakes, whether it's kayaking, hiking, or simply enjoying the great outdoors.
• Young Explorers: A category dedicated to our younger photographers, encouraging them to explore and appreciate the natural world.
• Celebrating 25 Years: In honour of our 25th anniversary, this special category invites visitors to share their favourite memories and moments from the past 25 years.

Prizes for this year's competition are generously sponsored by South West Water. The overall winner will receive a £250 prize, while the winner of each category will be awarded £100.

Previous Winners

Last year's competition saw some stunning entries, with Leanna Coles' atmospheric photo of Wimbleball Lake winning the Public Vote category in 2024. Her captivating image showcased the serene beauty and tranquil atmosphere of the lake, resonating with the public and earning her well-deserved recognition.

How to Enter

The competition is open for entries until 31 August, giving you plenty of time to capture your perfect shot. To enter, simply submit your photos through our website. Be sure to include a brief description of what the lake means to you and how your photo captures that sentiment.
