UPDATED MARCH 2017- 2017 Salmon and Sea Trout fishing will be catch and release for entire season. **The fishery is in two parts: The Watersmeet Fishery, leased by the Agency from the National Trust - Tors Road, Lynmouth to Woodside Bridge, right bank only; Woodside Bridge to Watersmeet both banks; upstream of Watersmeet right bank only to Rockford. The Glenthorne Fishery - right bank only upstream of Rockford to 300 yards downstream of Brendon Road Bridge. Half a mile of Trout fishing is available on the Hoaroak Water between Hillsford Bridge and Watersmeet; this is specifically for children, who only require a Trout rod licence when fishing this particular stretch if they are aged 12 years or over. WARNING: Anglers are advised that parts of the river are exceptionally steep and rocky and can be dangerous. Species:

Charges:
Salmon & Sea Trout 2017 Season will be catch and release only. We advise use of single barbless hooks. Prices: week £38, day £15, evening (8 pm to 2 am) £4.50; Brown Trout, season £30, week £11, day £3.50. Bag Limit:8 Brown Trout per day.

Salmon 1 March - 30 September; Sea Trout & Trout 15 March - 30 September Catch and release only for Salmon & Sea Trout in 2016. Fishing permitted 8 am to sunset, except from 1 June - 30 September when fishing by traditional fly fishing methods is permitteMethods:

Salmon & Sea Trout, Fly or spinner only until 16th June. *Please Note* Worming allowed after this date only when fished on a single circle-patterned hook, no larger than Size 4.
