Fishing in the area at The Carpenters Arms - The area has a wealth of fishing making it the perfect base for fisherman, whether you enjoy Coarse, Still Water Trout, River, or fancy a spot of Sea Fishing you will be spoilt for choice with the many different fishing venues within the area. Chew Valley is well known for its challenging fishing and is a great venue to try out a variety of fishing methods and fly patterns. Advice is always on hand at Woodford Lodge detailing the best areas, flies and fishing methods. The lodge also has a range of tackle and equipment. Bank fishing is allowed around much of the lake perimeter. A wheely boat specially designed for use by anglers in wheelchairs can be booked in advance. (life jackets to be worn at all times) Tuition can booked in advance at Bristol Water.
