Start Fishing Safely on Wednesday May 13th 2020!

On Wednesday May 13th 2020  permitted outdoor exercise includes social distanced angling!  But first please check fisheries are open and be sure to read and follow guidance and current advice from Angling Trust  whose #WhenWeFishAgain campaign and dedicated lobbying played a major part in the lifting of current restrictions.

Remember to Fish Safely and follow current guidelines and advice so we can all stay safe!

 

New CEO at Salmon & Trout Conservation

S&TC’s CEO, Paul Knight, is to retire at the end of June 2020 and Nick Measham, currently Deputy Chief Executive, will take over the reins of the UK’s premier wild fish charity.

Paul Knight stands down on June 30th after 26 years with the organisation, 18 of which have been as CEO, although he will continue for a further year with some part-time consultancy work, mainly connected to his Co-chairmanship of the NGOs at the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organistion (NASCO).

Applications are now open for Wheelyboat fundingmaking fishing and angling accessible for all
 

December 2nd 2019  Deadline for applications is Saturday January 4th 2020

The Wheelyboat Trust and the Angling Trust are delighted to announce the second round of funding for four wheelchair accessible Wheelyboats is now open to angling clubs and fisheries across the UK.
