Fishing Details

Water:

5 miles of upper and lower River Chew, 2.5 miles River Yeo. Wellow Brook Wild trout fishing - 0.75 mile single bank fishing at Wellow, 1.5 mile single bank at Stoney Littleton and 2 miles single banks at Writhlington. 5 Trout lakes - Publow, Taylors Farm, Clutton, Broadoak Farm and Acker Pool. Plus fishing at Chew Magna reservoir (see Stillwater Trout, Bristol).

Species:

Brown Trout 1.5 to 4lb and Rainbow Trout 1.5 to 6lb.

Permits:

From Keith Caddick. Guests of members only.

Charges:

Annual membership £125. Over 65 £100. Junior £27. All new members pay extra £5 entrance fee.

Season:

All rivers 1 April - 15 October. Lower Chew open all year. Trout 1st April to 15 October. Coarse Fish and Grayling 16 June to 14 March.

Methods:

Fly only on upper Chew. Any method on Lower Chew. Any method on River Yeo. Wellow Brook Fly only.
