Winswell Coarse Fishing Lakes - Torrington Devon

Winswell Fishing lakes are set in a beautiful surrounding at Petersmarland near Torrington Devon.
 
Oak Lake is 1 acre and has 5 swims – 
 
Walnut Lake is 0.5 acre and has 1 big swim. 
 
Both lakes are well stocked with healthy Mirror and Common Carp with the biggest is an average of 16lb.
 
The lakes are open all year and we do ask that you follow the fishery rules below:

Avon Springs Fishery ~ Salisbury, Wiltshire

Avon Springs is located by the River Avon in Wiltshire and offers superb Flyfishing on its two lakes totalling 8 acres. The flyfishing lakes are spring fed and well stocked with Rainbow Trout.

The 5 Acre gin clear Club Lake is stocked daily with rainbow trout from 2lb to double figures. 3 Acre Willow Lake offers excellent sedge, olive and mayfly hatches with two islands in a beautiful tranquil location.

1 mile of Upper Chalk Stream Avon Fishing is also available to compliment our Lakes ( For Upper Chalk Stream Avon Fishing please book through Simon Cooper of Fishing Breaks) - this is stocked with Brown Trout only, the majority are the original Avon Browns. There is also a good head of Grayling up to 3lbs. The river fishing boasts Fly hatches including mayfly, damselfly, sedge and many others.

Corporate Days can be arranged at Avon Springs with exclusive Lake & River Fishing plus access to our disabled friendly Clubhouse. Enjoy dining in an unrivalled setting.

Fishery is open all year  but closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Bideford & District Angling Club - North Devon

Despite the closure of the clubhouse of Bideford and District Angling Club, the club is very much still in existence, still running sea, game and coarse competitions and the Tarka swims lakes complex is still open and taking new memberships. All renewals and applications for membership can be made at Anglers Heaven, Market Place, Bideford. By kind consent of Tom Wade.

Bideford & District Angling Club are based in Bideford in North Devon. The Club welcomes new members and have regular competitions for Coarse, Game and Sea fishing - more info can be found on our web site or by ringing one of the contact numbers.

The Club has seven fully qualified angling coaches in various disciplines of the sport, including coarse, game and sea. They are on hand to help you learn to fish or try out new skills.

Tarka Swims Coarse Fishing Lake gives access to 26 disabled friendly pegs with Disabled toilets on site. Westcountry Angling Passport Fishing - Devon & Cornwall

 

Fish Pass App is run by the Westcountry Rivers Trust and was Developed with the kind support of European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) & HM Government in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly.
Fish Pass app is Westcountry Rivers Trusts digital update to the Westcountry Angling Passport scheme. Fish Pass provides Day, Booking, Monthly and Seasonal tickets for Beats, all through an easy-to-use mobile app. With over 50 River and Stillwater Beats, encompassing Game, Coarse and Predator fishing, Fish Pass app is the certainly the way to go if looking to go fishing in the West Country.

Avon & Tributaries Angling Association

ATAA is a small club providing secluded River fishing for Trout and Coarse fish, located very close to Bath.  

We control roughly 10 miles of river including the Midford Brook, Wellow Brook, Cam Brook, Somerset Frome and Bristol Avon. Fishing on the brooks is for Brown and Rainbow Trout, along with a few Grayling.  The small membership and extensive water means very low fishing pressure.

There is a variety of fishing available, with some sections stocked (trickle stocking throughout the season), whilst the upper sections of the Cam and Wellow are left for wild trout to thrive and fished on a strictly catch and release basis.

Coarse fishing is available on the Bristol Avon near Freshford, the lower reaches of the Somerset Frome and the Midford Brook.  You can expect all the usual species, with large Chub, Barbel and Perch.

Amalgamated Fisheries

Our fishery has been established for over 40 years and we have extremely good venues which are listed below, details of venues and directions can be obtained from our website :

All these Lake are very well stocked with Carp, Bream and mixed silver fish. Apart from the lake we own and lease approximately 20 miles of River fishing in South Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Somerset. Fishing is open to all members of the public. Annual and Day permits are available from 11 outlets again details on our website, alternatively from the above mentioned address also Night fishing by special permit only through the above address. River fishing commence at the River Avon at Malmesbury and continues at various venues to Keynsham. If you want to enjoy good fishing why not join us, you will not be disappointed.

Newhouse Fishery, Totnes - Devon

Newhouse Fishery is tucked away in a beautiful steep valley in the heart of South Devon. The four acre lake was formed by damming the Cocks Brook, a tributary of the River Avon and Newhouse fishery is one of the best fisheries in the South West. Here at Newhouse Fishery we pride ourselves on the trout stocked in the lake.

There is always the opportunity to achieve that life long ambition – the double figure brownie or rainbow which Newhouse has a fine record for both.We have long realised the importance of tuition and this can be arranged on our beginner’s pool. Tuition is free but best to book before arriving at the fishery. This facility gives the newcomer to fly fishing the freedom to perfect the art on water specifically set aside for the purpose.Young fishermen are always welcome and tackle may be hired at minimal cost.

The Exe Carnarvon Fishing Club

The two beats, which comprise the fishing of the club, as the name implies, were the two Prime Salmon beats owned by the Carnarvon Arms Hotel and fished by patrons successfully for many years.

The beats on the Barle and Exe contain some of the best fishing on the middle part or the river and include such renowned pools as Junction Pool, Old Womans Pool and the legendary Blackpool.

To book day tickets on the Bend Pool Beat, which is sandwiched between Beats A and B  of The Exe Carnarvon Fishing Clubs Water Telephone : The Hart Flyshop on 01398 323 008 the price is £40 per day.

The beat runs along the right bank of the Exe for about 450 metres and includes the famous Bend Pool and Bridge Pool Run. During its time as Beat E, part of the Carnarvon Arms Hotel fishery the Beat produced many a fine salmon.

 

Highampton Lakes, Beaworthy - Devon

Highampton Lakes are located in a peaceful and quiet part of the rural Devon countryside. The fishery has been well established for 25 years with three coarse fishing lakes stocked with a variety of healthy fighting coarse fish and carp averaging double figures. Our smaller Lake is well stocked with Tench.  Highampton Lakes in Beaworthy Devon offer anglers an excellent day's fishing.

Day tickets are available from the lake car park. We have a wooden staging around the Coarse Lake, toilet facilities are on site and tea /coffee making facilities on site.

 Coarse Fishing at Highampton Lakes - The lakes are open all year and full rules are to be followed at all times.

 Adult Day Ticket - £10

Child under 16 - Day Ticket £5 (MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT)

 

Emerald Pool Fishery - West Huntspill

Emerald Pool Fishery is located in West Huntspill in Somerset. Our four well managed coarse lakes are varied and offer a good days fishing whether you are a beginner or a keen angler and want a challenge.

Emerald Pool is approx 1.5 acres and stocked with Carp up to 22lb and Sturgeon to 4ft long. We also have Tench, Perch, Bream, Golden Orfe, Barbel to 5lb, Roach and Rudd.

Sapphire Pool has 20 pegs and is well stocked with the same variety as Emerald, with the exception of Barbel.

Jade's Pool consists of 30 pegs and is well stocked with Carp, Barbel, Bream and Tench.

Ruby Pool has 10 pegs and is heavily stocked with Common, Ghost and Mirror carp, Tench and Bream.

Accommodation is also available at Emerald Pool; located by the lakes we have 6 self catering holiday cottages easily sleeping 4 - 9. All cottages and Emerald Pool are disabled friendly and offer excellent disabled facilities. For more information see our page in the Where to Stay section.

Bake Fishing Lakes - Saltash - Cornwall

Bake Lakes are set in the midst of the Cornish countryside close to the A38, 7 miles west of Saltash. There is a wealth of wildlife attracted to the lakes with many rare species being recorded. All have fishing platforms, giving easy access for all ages and abilities to enjoy a day's fishing with us!
We have No Closed Season at Bake Lakes.

The Coarse Lakes
The Coarse lakes are well laid out to cater for all types of anglers.

Caesars the specimen lake, is predominantly carp over 35lbs Bream over 12lb and Pike fishing from 1st October -14th March. Since we started in 1997 the fish have bred prolifically so there are good levels of smaller fish as well as the biggies.

Emperor Lakes are 2 small lakes heavily stocked and ideal family lakes.

Flamingo is a 1 acre match lake with up to 20 pegs. Very good levels of tench up to 2 1/2lb as well as roach, rudd, bream and carp.

Treasure Island is a very attractive family lake with up to 30 pegs. Being tucked down in the valley surrounded by trees it is also the most sheltered.

Rainbow Trout & Brown Trout are stocked all year.  All trout are produced at Blakewell on our own fish farm. Anglers are guaranteed top quality and hard fighting fish in our crystal clear spring fed lake.

Mayfly and Kingfisher cabins are located at Blakewell Fisheries and both sleep 2. The beautiful cabins overlook their own private waterscapes, fringed with emerald life and are the perfect place to stay and relax in north Devon.
